The Waggon & Horses Inn

circa 1640

It’s thought that the Waggon & Horses was originally a farm and evolved over the many years to the building it is now.  The arched doorway on the right of the building was once the blacksmith’s forge. Dawn & Mike Corp had always dreamt of owning their own pub and in 2008, after long negotiations with many upsets and disappointments, their dreams were finally realised. Dawn said “ We have so many plans, now at least we can go ahead with them. We are just so happy it’s ours at last”. The pub has since secured a good reputation amongst the local community for excellent food and the full car park shows that the pub is the favourite place to eat on Sundays. In 2012 Dawn & Mike’s ambitions for a camp-site were realised with the completion of the Beacon View Caravan and Camping Site at the rear of the pub. “We look forward to meeting friends new and old this coming year. We thank all our family, friends and customers who have helped make our dream possible”.
